What kind of an artist do you think I am? (stole it from Nerior

14 deviants said A Normal Artist - You are a typical, everyday artist who wants to do their best and I have neutral feelings about you as a person.
14 deviants said An Idol Artist - You are an artist I look up to, get inspiration from, and sometimes I wish I had your talent.
14 deviants said An Improving Artist - Your talent is obvious, but it is not perfected. There are many things you can fix about your work, but that doesn't mean you aren't wonderful already.
5 deviants said A Compassionate, Caring Artist - You are an artist who does what they can to help other people, even if it means putting down everything you're working on to help someone in need. Your art is great, but your heart is greater.
1 deviant said A "People's" Artist - You do what everyone WANTS you to do. You tend to work more on things everyone else wants than what you want to. If the community doesn't like it, neither do you.

Ugh...I'd like to offer pencil sketches (waist up, one character without background) for 200 points each. ^q^;; If you're interested, please send me references along with the order! It will be processed within two days.
Thanks for reading!
In case you didn't know...omg, I finished a story! Original content and shit! Wowzers!!

Untitled by gehirnkaefer

And I've been selling a little at the Leipzig Bookfair/Manga-Comic-Convention last weekend. It was fuuuunnnn...meeting my favorite ppl and getting soaked in geekiness, seeing great art and fangirling with friends and discovering new things......haahh...
I even saw Takeshi Obata-sensei drawing live!!! (no autograph sadly TwT)
Now it's over. Back to real life...*sigh*

Oh well...I have plenty of leftovers that I can take to other cons with me, the next one would be the Animuc in Munich next month (whoa already) or Dokomi in May...con season has certainly started ^q^
For now I'd like to give everyone who can't go to cons but still wants one of the Madeleine-doujinshi the chance to order them online.
The price is 7€, plus 2€ for shipping/packaging (may vary in other countries than Germany).
You can use paypal or bank transfer within Germany.

The book has 36 pages, fullcolour, DIN A5 horizontal, 32 of them story plus 3 guest artworks by PastelCake (both of them) and Hime-chama .
No text except for an afterword in English.

The hard to describe...probably a bit of drama or psychological stuff.

If you are interested, just send an email to aedoxxx(at)gmail(dot)com with following information:

-amount (like....1)
-prefered paying method
-signature yes/no (and if yes, what name)

After receiving your mail I'll give you the bank dates/paypal address and once you payed I'll send it off! Easy, huh? If you still have any questions, send me a pm (not to the email address please)

Thanks for reading! :icondojimathumbsupplz:

thank you for replying. thank you again for looking at my gallery. . haha
you know, I was painting a new artwork again since last night, but I stopped and paused when I reach the part where I have to color the character and blend them in to the background I just painted. got artblock, and I decided to take a rest.
would you mind share with me some tricks or principles on doing that?

thank you again

no problem!
I see, hmm...usually, I make the colour layer for the character(s) the same colour palette as the surroundings, like...if it is green in the bg, i shade the charakter completely in the same green (but keep in mind the colour of the light and shadows, which are complementary!) after that, i fill in the colours of the characte itself, so that it blends with the base. (that sounds so complicated...) some people do that vice-versa i think, i just kinda git used to that...
maybe i can take some screenshots if i don't forget!
